About SLSB 2026

The International Conference on Sustainable Life Science and Biotechnology (SLSB 2026) is the first edition of a biennial international event hosted by VNUHCM – University of Science. This conference is a collaborative effort between the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology (FBB-HCMUS), the Asian Federation of Biotechnology - Vietnam Chapter (AFOB-VN), and the Ho Chi Minh City Association of Biology and Biotechnology (HABB).

Vision and Objectives The primary mission of SLSB 2026 is to facilitate high-quality scientific exchange and establish long-term international collaborations in the fields of life sciences and biotechnology. It serves as an academic platform for researchers, scientists, and students to present original findings, share technological advances, and discuss emerging challenges with a strong focus on sustainable development.

Historical Milestone Prior to 2026, the event operated as the Biology–Biotechnology Committee within the university’s traditional biennial scientific conference series. For its 15th edition, the committee was expanded and restructured to align with international standards, marking its official launch as an independent international conference from 2026 onward.

Core Scientific Pillars The conference program is structured around four core thematic pillars:

Biomedical Science: Focusing on regenerative medicine, cell and molecular technologies, vaccines, biopharmaceuticals, and advanced drug delivery systems.

Sustainability: Emphasizing biotechnology in agriculture, green growth, circular economy, Net Zero goals, and biodiversity conservation.

Green Science: An interdisciplinary field exploring novel bioactive compounds, probiotics, and applications in nutrition and functional foods.

Bioinformatics and Artificial Intelligence (AI): Covering biological data infrastructure, big data analytics, and machine learning applications in biomedicine and agriculture.

Event Details The conference is scheduled to take place from the 6th to the 8th at the VNUHCM - University of Science Campus (227 Nguyen Van Cu). The schedule includes pre-conference workshops on Day 1, followed by the opening ceremony and parallel scientific sessions on Day 2.
